The Loretto Mustangs got a successful tune-up ahead of the 2026 football season Friday night, defeating Clements, Alabama, 14-7 in a jamboree at L.M. Forsythe Field at Butch Toner Stadium.

Loretto found the end zone twice in the victory, with the Mustangs scoring once on a short-yardage run and again on a long touchdown burst.

Elijah Chapman powered his way into the end zone on a 1-yard touchdown run for one of Loretto’s scores. Henry Chambliss followed with the extra point.

Caden Hagan provided the Mustangs’ other touchdown, breaking free for an 80-yard scoring run. Chambliss once again converted the PAT to give Loretto 14 points on the night.

The jamboree gave the Mustangs an opportunity to see game action before the results begin counting next week.

Loretto will officially kick off the 2026 season next Friday night when the Mustangs travel to Cornersville.
