Past and present members of the Loretto High School baseball program came together for an evening of competition, memories, and Mustang pride during the school’s Home Run Derby and Alumni Game.

The former Mustangs showed they still had plenty of baseball left in them, defeating the current Loretto High School team 6-0. Although rain brought the game to an early end, it did not stop players and fans from enjoying an evening that celebrated the history of Mustang Baseball.

Following the event, the Loretto baseball team thanked everyone who attended and recognized the important role former players have played in building the program.

“Thank you to everyone who came out last night at the alumni game,” the team shared on Facebook. “Rain ended our game early, but we had a great time with the foundation that made Mustang Baseball!”

The Home Run Derby and Alumni Game gave former players an opportunity to return to the field while allowing the current Mustangs to connect with those who helped establish the program’s tradition.

Despite the shortened game, the evening was a meaningful celebration of Mustang Baseball and the generations of players who have proudly represented Loretto High School.
